Learner Licence
The Class 1 Licence is a computer based theory test.
We provide full training for this via one of our learner licence courses.
Duration: 3 x 90 min sessions held over 3 days.
How do I gain the licence? Following the tuition we take you to an approved testing facility to sit your online test.
Prerequisites:
You must be 16 years or older and have a full understanding of the NZ Road Code
You must provide proof of identity e.g. original birth certificate or valid/current New Zealand passport
You must pass the Eye Test held at the testing office
Restricted Licence
Restricted Licence
The Class 1 Restricted Licence is a 1 hour practical driving test with a VTNZ approved testing officer.
Duration: We are able to assist you with 1 hour driving lessons to bring you up to the required standard to pass the driving test. Minimum drive time 10-12 hours.
How do I gain the licence? 1 hour practical driving test with a VTNZ approved testing officer.
Prerequisites:
You must have held your Learners Licence for a minimum of 6 months.
You must be a safe and competent driver.
Full Licence

The Class 1 Full Licence test is a 30 minute practical driving test with a VTNZ approved testing officer.
Duration: We are able to assist you with driving lessons to bring you up to the required standard to pass the driving test.

Prerequisites:
For Under 25’s you must have held a Class 1 Restricted Licence for 18 months, this can be reduced to 12 months by completing a Defensive Driving Course
For Over 25’s you must have held a Class 1 Restricted Licence for 6 months, this can be reduced to 3 months by completing a Defensive Driving Course
