Class 2 - Medium Rigid Licence

The Class 2 Learner Licence is a computer based theory test. We can provide full training for this licence.

Duration: We encourage learners to allow approximately 1 week for a blend of tuition (if required) and self-directed study to best prepare for the Class 2 Learner Licence test.

How do I gain the licence? A 1 hour online test that you sit at an approved testing facility.

• You must have held a full NZ Class 1 (car) licence for at least 6 months.

• You must obtain/present a medical certificate less than 60 days old unless you have lodged one with NZTA in the last 5 years.

Prerequisites:

Duration: You are required to hold your Learners Licence for 6 months over this time you are expected to undertake appropriate driving lessons and driving practice.

How do I gain the licence? A practical driving test assessed by a VTNZ approved testing officer.

Prerequisites:

• You must hold a Class 2 Learners Licence. We will require a copy of this before booking.

• You must obtain/present a medical certificate less than 60 days old unless you have lodged one with NZTA in the last 5 years.

Duration: Approximately 3 days of training depending on prior experience and allowing for your schedule.

How do I gain the licence? After the 3 days of training lessons (both class room and practical) you will be assessed by Matapuna Driver Training.
